Verizon Galaxy S3 Gets Updated To Android 4.1.2

If you are using the Samsung Galaxy S3 with Verizon then you should update your software now as the carrier has just rolled out the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update. This update brings in several improvements to your device which include teaks and new features.

Some of the enhancements you will enjoy are

  • Improved performance of Keyboard Predictive Text feature

  • Manual refresh button has been added to the lock screen
  • Improved email synch
  • Improved Bluetooth performance

If you are not receiving an update notification then you can go ahead and do it manually. The steps are listed below.

  • Go into Settings
  • Tap on About Phone
  • Tap on System Updates
  • Tap Check for Updates
  • Perform the update

If for some reason the update isn’t available to you automatically or when you search for it manually then you’ll probably have to wait a week at the most for you to get it.

Those who have updated their devices reported that the Premium Suite isn’t available. This must also be the reason on why it hasn’t been included in the changelog.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 was first released in May of last year. It had 9 million orders before its release date. As of January of this year this model has sold more than 40 million units worldwide.
