We have all seen several clones of popular smartphone models released in the market but this latest one just puts a smile in our face. While Apple still hasn’t released their iPhone 5S a Chinese Android maker has already released the GooPhone i5S which is a clone of the upcoming device. The best part of this is that it only costs $99.
GooPhone is the same company that released a clone of the iPhone 5 earlier than Apple and it looks like history has repeated itself again this year. The GooPhone i5S looks quite similar in appearance to the upcoming iPhone5S however this is where their similarities end. The operating system as well as the hardware components used is different.
GooPhone i5S Technical Specifications
- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with iOS skin on top

- dual-core MT6577 processor

There’s really nothing special we can say about the hardware specifications. In trying to keep the cost in manufacturing the device down the company is forced to use outdated components. The dual core processor combined with a 512 MB of RAM isn’t going to give you a great experience if you are into gaming or consuming multimedia content. The great thing about this device however is the iOS skin on top of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean which makes it look like an Apple product.
And by the way the $99 price tag is only good for the first 1000 customers who will order the device online. After which the price will become $ 149.99. It’s still a cheap price to pay for an iPhone 5S clone.
