T-Mobile yesterday announced their new carrier plans, plunging fully into the prepaid plans. The changes are quite significant, from the plan structure to device prices in a move that is mostly viewed as a move that will rattle the pricing competition amongst carriers. If you just saw the UNcarrier changes and are wondering which are the best smartphones you can get under this deal, here are the hottest deals for you to consider.
a) Samsung Galaxy S4
Landing on the glory of its predecessor the Galaxy S3, Samsung’s next flagship smartphone is a powerhouse in a compact case. The phone comes with a powerful 1.9 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, a 4.99 inch Full HD Super AMOLED screen, a 13 Megapixels camera and a 2,600 mAh battery. This phone will be available on T-Mobile after its availability late next month. The prices of the phone have not been made public yet but based on T-Mobile’s new UNcarrier pricing structure, the S4 may cost $650. This means users may need to make a down payment of $100 and 24 monthly payments of $25.
Update: T-Mobile has made it public that the S4 will be available in their stores on May 1. The price is still undisclosed though.
b) HTC One
HTC One is the most formidable competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy S4. Announced earlier this month, HTC’s next high end smartphone is a fabulously designed machine with an all-aluminum case handset, a 1.7 GHz quad-core snapdragon 600 processor, a 4 megapixels ‘Ultrapixel’ camera and a 4.7 inch LCD screen (with an amazing 468 ppi density). HTC prides itself in quality phones at affordable pricing, and this powerful smartphone may be just what you need for office work and play. The pricing details have not been released but it is likely to adopt the same pricing details as the S4, or very close.
c) BlackBerry Z10
The Blackberry Z10 is already available on T-Mobile for a down payment of $100. The new Blackberry is a very impressive device running on RIM’s latest operating system BB10. The Z10 comes with very impressive specs and features, top among them a dual-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, 4.2 inch 1280 x 768 resolution (356 ppi), 2 GB RAM, 8 megapixels rear camera and an 1,800 mAh battery. Although the specs do not compare with other high end phones on the list, it is a Blackberry and it belongs to the list.
d) iPhone 5
Earlier today, T-Mobile announced that Apple’s iPhone 5 will finally be available on its network under their new UNcarrier pricing structure and plans. The iPhone 5 will be available from April 12th for a down payment of $100 without contract and monthly payments that have not been specified yet (probably $25). Apple fan boys on T-Mobile will be happy to know that after a 7 month wait, iPhone 5 will finally be available on the network.
