God Of Blades Android Game Review

One of the most critically acclaimed mobile games has just made its way to the Android platform. The game is an auto runner hack and slashes title that manages to make a perfect combination of art and music. You are the Nameless King and use an assortment of weapons available to you to destroy your enemies.

God Of Blades which is brought to us by White Whale Games can now be downloaded over at Google Play for $0.99. You will need a device running on at least Android 2.3 as well as a storage space of 111 MB.

The story revolves around the Nameless King who has been summoned from the grave to help rid the world of various enemies. You get to wield swords, axes or clubs as you beat and slash your enemies. You will have to time your blows so as to hot your enemies. This may be easy if you were standing still but this is an auto runner game where you only stop for a brief moment when you are about to hit your enemy.

The controls are simple as you only need to swipe on the screen. Swiping back will parry the enemy blows. Swiping forward lets you spin and strike your enemy. Swiping downward creates the most damage to your enemies but this is a slow procedure. Striking upwards deals short range quick blows to your enemy.

Aside from getting used to the controls you also have to learn how different types of enemies respond to battle. Some enemies have their distinct fighting style that you should learn in order to counter their moves.

While this is simply a hack and slash game that you could finish easily because of its repetitive combat nature it is still worth checking out because of two things that make it attractive. It makes use of beautifully done fantasy art with great landscapes and detailed creatures. The accompanying soundtrack of the game also sets the mood just right.

If you are looking for a game that’s easy to pick up where you can slash away at your enemies then try out this title.
