The next iOS update to fix evasi0n exploit

Evasi0n iPhone Jailbreak tool

Apple has always been against jailbreaking, which gives something like an administrative power to the users of the smart phones or the tablets made by the company. But the developer community which works with iOS devices has always been strong enough to break all the barriers that Apple built around the iOS operating system and find a few loopholes that would let the developers jailbreak the devices. This also happened with the new iOS 6.1 that the company released some time back.

And the popular tool which made this happen is the evasi0n jailbreak tool. The tool became very popular as soon as it got released and saw over 7 million downloads in just a few days of being released to the public. The tool uses a few loopholes found in the new iOS 6.1 mobile operating system released by the Cupertino tech giant. The company did patch a few of these loopholes in the iOS 6.1.2 update. But the evasi0n team was quick and talented enough to overcome this in a few hours after the iOS update was released.

Now, there is no problem for the tool. But a new update, the iOS 6.1.3, is expected to be released by the company in the coming weeks and this is expected to patch all the vulnerabilities used by the evasi0n team. David Wang, one of the developers in the evasi0n team, does not seem to be worried about this though. He says that he is already exploring other vulnerabilities in the platform. And if Apple patches a few, there are always other loopholes, he says.

“If one of the vulnerabilities doesn’t work, evasi0n doesn’t work,” he said in an interview with Forbes. “We could replace that part with a different vulnerability, but [Apple] will probably fix most if not all of the bugs we’ve used when 6.1.3 comes out.” This just means that we do have to be too much worried about this.
