The rumors about HTC One, previously rumored to be HTC M7 have not quelled down despite the confirmation that the device actually exists and will be releasing it in a couple of weeks. This new flagship device by HTC already has the spec sheet and rendered press images doing rounds on the internet. What’s more, we already have a price and a release dates in the US. HTC fans in the US can now sigh in relief as the phone is rumored to come on March 22nd, ahead of international release rumored to be early or mid-april. The high end Android smartphone is rumored to come to the three major carriers in the US including Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T.
All the three carriers will launch the devices as HTC One, which in a way is great news to consumers and the carrier companies to market the device. There is a chance though that Verizon may be planning to sell the device as HTC Droid DNA Plus – a strange name indeed.
HTC One was first rendered in white but earlier today pictures of a black HTC One surfaced showing a magnificent powerful smartphone. Rumor also has it that the phone will come in 32 GB and 64 GB variants (for $199.99 and $299.99 on contract respectively) but if you want an unlocked one it will definitely cost a lot more but we are yet to know how much.
Other than the prices and release dates, HTC also announced that the HTC One has a metal case and front-facing stereo speakers which may make it a perfect smartphone for multimedia playback. With confirmation of Samsung’s Galaxy SIV smartphone, it is now clear that the battle for the high end smartphone market is shaping up to be a two horse race.
