We have had rumors about Apple working on a smart phone for some time now, and there is always something new coming up on this subject. The Wall Street Journal’s Bit column yesterday said that Apple is indeed working on one such device. According to the rumor, the Cupertino tech giant has been working on it for some time, and the rumor specifically says that the smart watch will have a curved glass display.
Does this have anything to do with the fact that Corning Glass, the company which provides Apple with the Gorilla Glass we find on the smart phone’s back and front, is about to launch a new kind of bendable glass, called the “Willow Glass.” This might just be the thing that the Cupertino tech giant has been waiting for. The company may just announce its curved display smart watch after Corning Glass announces its new Willow Glass.
To make things a little bit more interesting, TUAW writes:
Former Apple UI designer Bruce Tognazzini recently wrote a lengthy treatise about an Apple iWatch, discussing not only the drawbacks and features of existing smart watches, but what the “killer apps” for a wrist-based Apple device might be.
There have been so many smart watches already last year starting from the Consumer Electronics Show 2012, the Kickstarter project Pebble Watch, the iPhone connected Citizen watch, and many others. All this smart phone run-around is because the younger generation is not really concerned about the watch anymore, because it is not smart enough. The younger people rather take out their smart phones every now and then and check the time.
So, if even one company can come up with a good smart phone which can show you your emails, text messages, incoming calls, calendar notifications, and stuffs like that on the watch itself without having to take out your smart phone, the younger generation will love that.
So, what do you think the Apple iWatch would be like?
