Temple Run 2 Will Make its Way to Android Devices on January 24th

When we speak of games on mobile platforms, there are plenty that come to our minds. Beginning from Angry Birds which is one of the most popular mobile games right now, to games like Modern Combat, there’s basically something for everyone out there. And one such game is Temple Run from Imangi Studios which is one of the most widely played mobile games in the world and almost every smartphone you see will have it. The premise of the game is very simple. The main character is basically on a run from the caves and is being chased by the monkeys. Whilst escaping them, the protagonist also has to dodge tricky jumps and maneuver his way into avoiding falling off the trail or hitting a tree bark. The game is so addictive, that you immediately quit everything you’re doing and get all your focus on it (seriously it’s not a good thing). And now the guys at Imangi Studios have decided to treat their fans with a heavily revamped version of the popular game in the form of Temple Run 2. The app recently broke cover on iOS but Android devices were made to wait in the dark. But it has now come to light that the wait won’t be too long as the developers have decided to launch the device in a week from now i.e. on the 24th of January.

The sequel to the original Temple Run comes with plenty of new tweaks and backdrops for the users. However, it will only take a matter of minutes to get used to this as it will be familiar territory for die hard Temple Runners. And the best part about this game is that it’s still free, so Imangi Studios doesn’t want the users to pay for the Temple Run pleasure with this new installment. There are actually several new additions to this app including riding through in a cart, running in a floating temple etc. There will also apparently be a bigger monkey in the mix, which should be fun to play with. And I’m guessing the graphics here will be marginally better than what we see on the original Temple Run.

All in all it’s a good app to have and one which will instantly garner all the attention. Let’s hope this one proves to be more addictive than the first installment, which we’re sure it will be. Games like these seldom need reviews as they’re free, and users themselves can try it out and review it. The original Temple Run was a record breaker when it first arrived on iOS and Android. Its sequel has already received good response on iOS, and the same can be expected from the successor. For people finding the new atmosphere in Temple Run 2 alien, there’s always the old app you can switch to. So mark your calendars for January 24th, which is if you’re a huge Temple Run fan. Even if you’re not, you will eventually find it making its way to the top sellers list pretty soon.
