Samsung is finally pushing the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to Korean variants of the Galaxy S III smartphone. According to our friends over at SamMobile, owners of the Galaxy S III Korean variant is now able to download the update via Kies Desktop Software or through OTA (Over the Air). Some of the most notable features coming with Jelly Bean (which you should know about already) are Project Butter, Multi-View, Smart Rotation and the new Notification Panel. This update brings Android’s software version to 4.1.2 and the build to JZO45k — all of the usual additions.
News of Jelly Bean hitting Korean variants of the Galaxy S III is great. Not only that but it’s one step closer to the rest of the world getting the update to Jelly Bean on the Samsung Galaxy S III. If you didn’t hear earlier, Verizon will be pushing out the Jelly Bean update today for Galaxy S III devices. Hopefully users of the Verizon Galaxy S III (and other carriers’ variants) will start seeing the Jelly Bean update fairly shortly here.
