Google Play Books and Movies Now Available In The Russian Market

New Google Play Music

Google is continuing to roll out their content offerings to other countries by making available Google Play Books and Movies to Russia. Google Play will offer Russian users over 1,000 different books (all in the Russian language, of course), along with books from best-selling authors as well. When it comes to movies, Russian users will have access to both international releases and local films. You can rent movies for as low as 49 rubles, which equals out to $1.60 USD. Rather than renting, you can also purchase movies for as low as 99 rubles, which equals out to $3.22 in USD.

It’s great to see that Google is expanding their content to other markets. It’s also great to see that the company is taking their time making sure that the content and pricing is right as well. While the wait may not be a whole lot of fun, it’s worth it when you eventually see the quality of the content that Google Play has to offer. Hopefully we’ll be seeing Google Play roll out to more markets by the end of the year or even early 2013. There’s no doubt that  there are a lot of people that want to get their hands on Google Play.

Google is truly making Android a fantastic platform to be a part of.
