Samsung Captivate Glide Receiving Ice Cream Sandwich Update On November 10th

Good news for those who own the Captivate Glide on AT&T’s network. According to an AT&T consumer blog, users of the device will be receiving the update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich starting on November 10th, which at the time of this writing, is tomorrow. Talk Android mentions that the wording of the blog makes it seem like it won’t be an update through OTA. That said, users of the handset will be required to go through the Samsung Kies software as AT&T has linked to a support page on Samsung’s website for official instructions on the update.

While this has been a very delayed update, this is a whole lot better than sitting at Android 2.3 like many of the other devices that have been left back there. You can read the full blog post from AT&T below.
