Angry Birds Star Wars Officially On Google Play

After a very long wait, the day is finally here that Star Wars and Angry Birds fans collide! Rovio has released their much anticipated Star Wars themed version of the very popular Angry Birds. While we’ve seen a lot of the abilities and new birds in teaser videos from Rovio, here is a list highlighting a few things that you will be seeing in Angry Birds Star Wars:

HOURS AND HOURS OF ENGAGING GAMEPLAY – Explore more than 80 levels in iconic locations like Tatooine and the Pig Star. Can you dodge Imperial pigs, laser turrets, Tusken Raider pigs, and the dark side of the Force to get all three stars?
NEW GAMEPLAY MECHANICS – Use lightsabers, Blasters and Jedi powers to wreak havoc on the Imperial Pigs!
LEVEL UP YOUR BIRDS – Keep playing and level up your birds to improve their skills!
SECRETS AND HIDDEN GOODIES – Can you unlock all the R2-D2 and C-3PO bonus levels?
FREE UPDATES – This is only the beginning of the epic saga!
Stuck on a tricky level? Earn stars and call the Mighty Falcon to rain down the destruction. New goals, achievements and gameplay!
The ultimate training ground for a Young Jedi, this in-app purchase unlocks 40 Dagobah Challenge Levels with Jedi Master Yoda! Master the Path of the Jedi to unlock the ultimate lightsaber!

If the teaser videos and their official launch trailer was anything to go by, Rovio did not just add a new theme to Angry Birds Star Wars, they also put in a lot of work to offer a new gameplay experience that would appeal to both Star Wars and Angry Birds fans. Rovio has released a free version of the game along with an HD version of the game. The HD version sits at $2.99. The only noticeable difference you will see in the HD version is a bit more detail with a higher resolution. Check out their video trailer of the game below and head on over to Google Play to give this extremely fun game a download!
