SwiftKey 3 Keyboard Review

SwiftKey 3 is amazing. It predicts what I am going to say 80% of the time, and often, when I am sending someone a text asking them how’s it going and if they want to hang out or not, I don’t even have to type a single word as SwiftKey 3 already know what I am going to say. Yes folks, the AI technology in this application is actually that good. In fact, it is getting even better as the developer plans on releasing something like Swype except better and called SwiftKey Flow. To be honest, I have never seen a keyboard that had such good quality. The stock Android keyboard isn’t even as good as SwiftKey.

You can’t make a perfect judgement over SwiftKey 3 until you use it for a few days as the keyboard learns how you type; it learns your personality. After it goes through those steps, it will begin predicting things more accurately. Essentially, the more you use it, the better SwiftKey gets. You can even give the keyboard a head start by connecting it to Facebook, Twitter, Gmail and your Text Messaging. It will then learn how you type on those networks and speed the whole process up extremely fast. While SwiftKey 3 is something that can easily predict your next word(s), it also comes with various themes and designs to fit your personality as well. That said, it does cost a bit more than the average application, but is entirely worth it. You may even find SwiftKey on one of Google’s 25 cent sales.

On top of all of this, if you aren’t entirely sure how to use SwiftKey, the developer has even included a few guides on how to use the keyboard properly. They are very self-explanatory and will easily get you up to speed on the application. There are tons of different styles included in SwiftKey. You’ll find at least one for every season and then a few with general colors if you aren’t into the seasonal themed keyboard such as the “Pumpkin” theme. There are dark themes, light themes, themes in-between light and dark, and etc. My favorite out of all of them is the Neon keyboard. The developer definitely did a fantastic job with this one, and it fits the theme of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich near perfectly.

So far, I have found no problems with SwiftKey 3, and if I do come across a problem there is always another update available to fix said problem I was having. This was definitely one of the best $2.99 purchases I have made on Google Play. One thing that is worth noting is that SwiftKey 3 even gives you statistics on words it has predicted and how correct it has been in the time you have been using it. You can purchase and give it a try, if you don’t like it you can return it in 15 minutes, but again, you can not get a proper experience with this keyboard without using it for a couple of days.

I highly suggest taking a look, I love this keyboard.
