HTC Shares One X+ Design Sketches

Now that the rumored HTC One X+ is official and everything, HTC has posted a fairily short, but informative walk-through on some of their thought processes behind the design to this latest smartphone in HTC’s arsenal. There really isn’t a whole said through the various sketches that were posted, other than some of the more obvious stuff, such as the fact that they were aiming to create a phone that you would want to hold and use every day. HTC has hinted, however, that they are going to be producing a longer video series concerning the design process of the HTC One X+, which I think, would be something awesome to watch. It would definitely be interesting to see the thought process behind everything.

Those of you who haven’t heard yet, the HTC One X+ was announced to be official today, and is starting to really be a great handset that will be hitting the European market later this month. This HTC One X+ handset is going to be featuring a 1.7GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 2100mAh battery, a 4.7 inch laminated SuperLCD2 display set a a 1290 x 720 resolution and is also featuring Gorilla Glass 2. The HTC One X+ also boasts of a 8 mega-pixel rear shooter, a 1.6 mega-pixel front facing camera, and will be launched with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and the famous HTC Sense 4+. So far the device is supposed to have 64GB of storage space in the United Kingdom, but HTC has said that other markets may vary, so don’t hold your breath.

The HTC One X+ is going to be awesome. I’m really excited to see what the handset will be like. We owned the HTC Inspire previously, and the phone was a load of junk. After that experience, it really is going to be interesting seeing how this specific handset turns out. Back on topic though — what would you guys like to see in HTC’s new and upcoming behind-the-scenes series? It actually would be interesting hear the various influences behind the handset itself, as Samsung said the Galaxy S III was inspired by “nature,” so it makes you wonder what other devices are actually inspired by. On another note, is anyone even excited for the HTC One X+ aside from their loyal fans? We know the Galaxy Note 2 is coming out, the Xperia phones just release (in some countries), so do you think that the HTC One X+ is going to have trouble in the market, or is it going to make a distinctive appearance? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below, as I am really interested to find out how well this specific device will do with all of the other flagships releasing extremely soon too. Aside from that, I’m pretty excited about this handset and the upcoming behind-the-scenes video series!

Cue all of the complains and lawsuits from Apple and their fanboys. Ready. Set. Go!
