Google Nexus 10 made public before the Monday event

Google is hosting an event on the 29th of this month, that is on Monday. At the event, the search engine giant is expected to announce two new devices, the Nexus 4 smart phone and the Nexus 10 tablet. We have seen the leaked images of the Nexus 4 smart phone already, now let us take a look at the Nexus 10 tablet and what it brings to the table.

Brief Mobile has got the opportunity to get its hands dirty with the new tablet, somehow. The Nexus 10, as the name indicates, is going to be a 10 inch tablet running Google’s new version of the mobile operating system, Android 4.2. Now, there have been rumors earlier that this version of Android is going to be called the Key Lime Pie. But according to Brief Mobile, the Android 4.2 is also called the Jelly Bean, and there is no Key Lime Pie yet.

While the Nexus 4 smart phone is manufactured by LG, the Nexus 10 is manufactured by another South Korean Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), which is Samsung. The Samsung Nexus tablet packs some impressive specs. To begin with, we have the beautiful 10.1 inch Super AMOLED display, one component that Samsung is well known for.

Next, the Nexus 10 features a 1.7 GHz dual core Cortex A15 based processor, which will be fast enough. But on the camera front, even though the tablet has a standard camera when compared to other tablet, the 5 mega pixel rear shooter does sound a bit on the lower specs side. But this shooter is accompanied by an LED flash. For video calling and self portraits, the Nexus 10 has a VGA front facing camera.

The tablet also features Near Field Communication (NFC) and an abundant 2 GB of RAM. There is no proof that this is in fact the tablet we are going to see at the Monday event, but it sure looks legit to me. Anyway, we will be seeing the actual tablet in just two days.
