32GB Nexus 7 Now Available For Purchase In The UK, Priced At £199.99

Android Central has reported that UK retailers PC World and Currys now has the 32GB Nexus 7 available for purchase.  The two stores are both apart of the Dixons group and are selling this new Nexus 7 for £199, which was where the 16GB Nexus 7 used to be. The price matches the price that is currently in the Google Play Store. Home delivery is available, along with the option to purchase the device online and then pick it up in person (that is assuming that you are near a PC World or Currys retail store). Android Central has also noted that all of the stores in their area seem to have the 32GB Nexus 7 in stock as well. That said folks, if you are near a major city in England, chances are pretty high that you will be able to get yourself a brand new 32GB Nexus 7 without any problems whatsoever.

Originally announced on Monday, the 32GB Nexus 7 will be selling at the same price point that was originally occupied by the 16GB model since its launch. The cheaper 8GB model has been discontinued so that the 16GB can take its place at the £159 ($200) spot. If you’ve bought an 8GB model of the Nexus 7, chances are you can do a factory reset, package it back up and take your receipt back to the store to trade it in for the 16GB model. A few people have done that  thus far, so if you want the larger storage capacity you could easily take it back.

Still, what everyone is probably waiting for is the 3G and HSPA+ version of the 32GB Nexus 7. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been released in the United Kingdom. Nor is it available in retail or on the official Google Play Store. When it does release though, you’ll be able to find this bad boy with UK carrier Three as they will be offering the 32GB Nexus 7 at subsidized prices. Although, there is no set release date as of yet, so we may have a while to wait for this guy. On the other hand, Google will be releasing most of their Nexus devices on November 13th, so we could probably expect to see the 3G/HSPA+ version of the 32GB Nexus 7 then as well. Again, this is just speculation so don’t hold your breath for that.

If you haven’t heard yet, Google is planning on release a couple of Nexus devices to refresh their Nexus lineup on November 13th. The very much anticipated LG Nexus 4 will be releasing then as an unlocked device compatible with hundreds of networks. The Samsung Nexus 10 will also be releasing on that date in 16GB and 32GB versions. The Nexus 10 is as close as you can get to stock Android, so you may find it to be similar to the iPad’s Apple experience. Is anyone planning on picking up a 32GB Nexus 7 or even a 3G 32GB Nexus 7 when that releases later on? Sound off in the comments!
