Nokia Lumia 800 running Windows Phone 7.8 caught on Camera

People who are using Windows Phone 7 on their older Nokia Lumia devices are eagerly waiting for the Windows Phone 7.8 update. This update will bring a lot of Windows Phone 8 features to smart phones which are not compatible for the Windows Phone 8 update, and the list of such smart phones includes a lot of Lumia devices. So, the Windows Phone 7.8 update is very important now.

There have been a lot of news about the update coming very soon. And today, we have a proof for that. The admin of the has today posted a few photos and a video of a Nokia Lumia 800 running the yet to be released Windows Phone 7.8 operating system.

As you can see from the image here, the home screen has undergone a few cosmetic changes. Apart from that, you will not be able to see a lot of changes in the user interface. This is because most of the new update includes changes only under the hood, for example, performance upgrades and new features.

One of the features which has been most desperately waited for is the ability to share files between different Lumia smart phones over Bluetooth. I do not understand why Microsoft and even Nokia did not include this feature in the first release itself. I feel that such a feature is very important. Now, with the update to the newest operating system, Windows Phone 7.8, the Bluetooth file sharing feature has been made available.

Also, the Nokia Lumia devices have good cameras. The Camera app on these devices till now was good enough, but not serving all the needs of the users. But now, the company has updated the Camera app to include more features, which the users are going to love for sure.

So when can you expect the update to be rolled out? Well, we are not yet certain about that one thing. Now that the operating system is somehow available for one of the customers, the update may soon be released. Keep waiting.
