Native Twitter Applications Gets An Android Update, Adds Header Photos

We already know a lot of our readers aren’t fond of the native Twitter app, and would prefer using third party apps, but if you’re one of those people that uses the native Twitter applications, you should know that there is an update available today. You have your usual bug and maitenace  fixes, but this update also brings some really nice features such as header photos for profiles (you could compare this to the timeline cover photo on Facebook), photo streams on prifles and events, while also adding some new stellar account management. With the new update, Twitter is really trying to expand and make their users as happy with the service as possible, it has definitely taken a step in the right direction. Of course, there is always room for improvement, especially if we compared the app to the likes of HootSuite for Smartphone or Plume for Tablets.

I’m personally really excited for the header photos on Twitter. It’s added a uniqueness to your profile, and while some people will most likely abuse the feature and hate on it, I think it is a very nice addition to the application. If you’re interested in grabbing the update, just head on over to Google Play via your Smartphone and/or Tablet, or just hit the source link below!

Is anyone excited for the new update full of these extra goodies? Let us know in the comments below how you are liking the new update, especially the new header photo feature!
