There’s been another spec leak that happened today regrading the LG Optimus Vu II. It’s always interesting trying to figure out how these specs leak, or if they’re just some internet troll trying to get everyone excited. Since the handset was announced in August that we should be seeing this superphone behemoth in September, there’s no doubt that a leak was inevitable. Not only that, but with the Samsung Galaxy Note II coming up very soon, LG was probably getting a little worried that they didn’t have the spotlight. Surely they didn’t want to be outdone.
Still, while the leak may have been released quite swiftly, the LG Optimus Vu II does really pack a punch. The leak reveals that this baby has a dual core Snapdragon S4 Qualcomm MSM8960 processor with 2GB of RAM. Some other cool features of the device include an 8 mega pixel camera, NFC, LTE connectivity, and a larger 2150mAh battery, which happens to be slightly larger than its predecessor. The screen size of the device will, of course, stay the same, as will the resolution with a 1024 x 768 5 inch display. This new handset will be shipping with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich too. When it all comes down to it, it really does not seem like the Vu II will be able to compete with the Note II. However, LG hopes that the Vu II will close this gap with their universal remote feature. I guess when it comes down to it, we’re just going to have to see how this all works out in the real world.
Does anyone plan on purchasing one of these new 5 inch devices soon? Make sure to let us know which one you’d choose and why!
