HTC One X owners have been waiting for the promised Android 4.1, also known as Jelly Bean, update for their smart phones for some time now, and its time they start getting restless. But since the smart phone has become one major smart phone for the company, it has worked its way with the update soon and is ready to release it soon enough.
According to MoDaCo, the Taiwanese based company will be releasing the Jelly Bean update for the HTC One X sometime in the next month. But if you are a branded HTC One X owner, you will be delayed the update even more. This is because the company is releasing the update for non-branded One X models. And if your carrier is to distribute the update to you, it first needs to check that the update works properly with its tailor made devices. So, that will obviously take some time.
Meanwhile, the same source reports that there can be another big even from HTC next month. The company might release the well rumoured Android smart phone from the company, the HTC One X+. The HTC One X+ is expected to be running Jelly Bean or Android 4.1 out of the box. So if you have been saving your pocket money for buying the device, you should not be worried about getting Jelly Bean on it.
The smart phone is expected to have a 1.6 GHz quad core Tegra3 processor inside it with 1 GB of RAM. The on board storage is going to be 32 GB. There is no word on whether the smart phone will have a microSD card slot for expanding the memory. But you can strike that off from your wish list for the time being. Next, to power all this up, the smart phone will ship with a 1,800 mAh battery. No price estimates yet, so you will just have to wait for the official announcement soon.
