Google Chrome For Android Gets An Update In Google Play

If you’ve been waiting for an update for Google Chrome, you can head over to the Play Store right now and grab the update. Not only that, but they’ve left something almost unseen on the Play Store — a changelog. Google is known for letting its users chase down all of the changes that they ended up fixing and adding, the only problem with that is users can’t find all of the changes. Thankfully, Google actually was nice enough to leave us one of those beautiful changelogs.

Location preferences have now been moved to the system level of your devices to make things a tad more safe and streamlined. And if you love YouTube and are a big user of it, you’ll be happy to hear that Google has fixed video controls that weren’t working when you went into full screen mode. My personal favorite is that videos now continue playing even after the user unlocks or locks the screen. There are some really cool fixes that are bound to improve Google Chrome heavily. Here’s the entire changelog:

Chrome for Android M18.1
This version update includes a number of security and stability improvements. Additional highlights
-Location preference now integrated to system level Google apps location setting.
-Youtube videos controls now work in full screen mode; videos continue playing after a screen lock/unlock
-Fixes to make third-party IMEs work better with Chrome

Hopefully everyone enjoys the new update and will find that it has actually improved the overall browser.
