Popular iOS game Jetpack Joyride now comes to Android

Being an avid Android gaming enthusiast, Jetpack Joyride always made me envious about not owing an iPhone.  However, all the envy would be put to bed, with Halfbrick Studios porting the most popular iOS game to Android.

From the makers of Fruit Ninja, Jetpack Joyride engulfs one of the most captivating gameplay on smartphones yet. It’s an impassive time-killer. The story of the game revolves around a guy who breaks into a clandestine laboratory to steals a Top Secret jetpack. That’s where all the joy begins. Things start getting a little crazier and as the game slowly and gradually starts catching its pace, you find it increasingly difficult to let your hands off this joyride.

The controls are simple and the graphics, mesmerizing. With cool devices like Machine gun jetpack, a jet powered dragon and other such devices, you are bound to get enthralled and soaked up into the gripping gameplay. The newer version also suffers tangy Flash Runs, which help you collect coins, tokens and more on the way.

Though the game is enriched with some of the most eye-pleasing graphics, the images might appear little blocky on larger screens, especially tablets. However, we are expecting a HD version from Halfbricks pretty soon.

Jetpack Joyride is definitely the one ride which you don’t want to miss. The game should be made available on Play Store, pretty soon. To catch the action now, you would have to download the app from Amazon App Store, now. It’s available for FREE. Amazingly, Amazon is reportedly offering a $1 credit for downloading the app from its store, which can be redeemed against Amazon MP3 purchases.

Jetpack Joyride is just one of the few apps developed by Halfbrick to make its way to Android from iOS. There are still pretty good games in the Halfbrick inventory which can be ported. We hope to catch some more action, any time soon.

Till then go, unpack your jetpack and have a joy ride!
