Twitter for Android Updated

The world over Twitter is the easiest way to know what your friends are doing in 140 characters or less. Even since its launch, Twitter has quickly become one of the best social media platforms for the Internet users all over the world. With the launch of Twitter apps for smartphones and tablets, the on-the-go users of this wonderful application have one more reason to rejoice.

The official Android version of Twitter just got updated to 3.3. What does that mean for average users? Expanded tweets is a new feature of the upgrade. Until now, every time your friends tweet with content from other sites, you had to login to check that. Not any more. Now you can check all the third-party content right from within the app and the posts, play videos, watch photos and even read the articles.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to immediately get a notification when your friends and contacts post a tweet or re-tweet a post? With the updated version of Twitter for Android, now you can do just right that. If you are connected to a wireless network or if your 3G connection is switched on and within coverage area, you will always get the most recent updates from your friends.

Other features include the option to create avatars that can be tapped to be directly taken to that user’s profile. This is a great tool just in case you are looking to see what your friends were up to while you were away. Users of the app will also get a revamped search option with auto complete feature. No more mistakes typing long names and search terms.

The updates also include a general level of crash fixing, cleaning up bugs and many minor issues that were noticed in the earlier versions. So, users should expect a much better overall experience.
