The Google Nexus 7 has finally started shipping to the customers. Those who pre ordered the device (early) will have the device in their hands in a couple of days from now. Note that this is the first wave of shipping, so everybody might not be covered. The rest of the pre-orders will be shipped within the next 3 days, it is believed. This should pretty much put all the confusions to rest. Some lucky customers have already been able to experience the tablet, which makes the whole process a little trickier to understand. Regardless, it should be only a matter of days now till the tablet arrives. As for those who didn’t pre order, do not lose hope as stores will make it available soon.
U.S retailer Gamestop and Staples have stocked up on the Nexus 7, but are refusing to sell it to new buyers. Users who have already pre ordered the device can pick it up at either of these stores, apparently. UK seller Ebuyer is shipping the tablets to its customers since yesterday and a lucky few have already received it. What’s strange is how Google is going about the launch of the tablet. It’s hard to believe that the tablet is arriving in the UK before it is in the U.S. If you’re one of those early birds who pre ordered before everyone else, you can head over to your nearest Staples or Gamestop store and see how that works out. These retailers apparently are stocking up on heaps of Nexus 7 tablets and are waiting for a green signal from Google to start selling to regular customers.
Some users claim that Google is yet to send out the “Shipped” message to its customers. Here’s the official release by Google – “We’re now shipping Nexus 7 pre-orders. The first wave of orders are going out today and all pre-orders are scheduled to ship within the next 3 business days. Once your order has shipped you will receive a confirmation email and tracking number. Though our agents are unable to provide a specific delivery date for individual pre-orders, please rest assured that our shipping team is working to fulfill all orders as quickly as possible.”
As usual Google will notify you when your device is shipped and provide you with the shipping details as well. So be on the lookout for that. Make sure you drop a line below if you’ve already received the device.
