Dead Trigger for Android now available for free

The zombie oriented Dead Trigger game went up on the Google Play Store a few weeks ago for $0.99. However, the developers have decided to build the popularity of the game by making it a free download. This comes as a surprise to many as the game is relatively new and users who shelled out 99 cents for the game are not really the happiest people on earth right now. Regardless, this zombie killer game has grown in popularity ever since the news broke out.

What’s better is that the new 1.1.0 update which was rolled out a couple of days ago makes the game better than ever. It brings support for older Adreno205 GPU smartphones as well (including the likes of the Xperia Play). Also, Madfinger Games mentioned in its official release that the game is bloodier and has four new weapons among other things. The game is available for free due to “unbelievably high” levels of pirated downloads, according to the developer.

Make sure to check out our review of the app before proceeding with the download. So head over to the Google Play Store and get the app right now, and remember to be on a Wi-Fi connection before doing so as it requires some additional files to be downloaded.

The game is a decent addition to your list of first person shooter games, but this one here revolves around zombies. Having personally played the game, it seems pretty good for its price (right now). And this could well be a limited period promotion much like Gameloft does with some of its titles. Madfinger Games slashed the prices of other games like Shadowgun and Samurai Vengeance II to $0.99 on the eve of the launch of Dead Trigger.

If first person shooter games are your thing, go ahead and grab the app while you still can. And who doesn’t like killing Zombies coming from all around the place. Yes, it’s a bloodbath, but the fun kind.
