Asus Transformer Infinity Pad UK Release Set on August 31st, Priced at £599.99

Taiwanese hybrid tablet maker Asus announced recently that the Transformer Infinity Pad will be released in the UK on August 31st coming with a price tag of £599.99. The rumors about this slate started over six months ago and many people including tech and Android enthusiasts were wondering if it’s coming to the market or not.

Last month, the rumors about Infinity Pad heightened as more specs were revealed to the public including the possibility of sporting Google’s latest mobile operating system, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. But such rumor was laid to rest by Asus itself after it launched the dedicated page on its website saying the high-end slate will have Android 4.0 upon release but Jelly Bean may come shortly through an update rollout over the air.

Transformer Infinity Pad could have become more attractive to enthusiasts and average users if Asus would pack it with the latest OS but analysts believe the manufacturer is giving way to Google Nexus 7 to showcase Jelly Bean. After all, Asus was the one who built it for Google.

Asus Transformer Infinity Pad with model number TF700 will showcase the latest Nvidia Tegra 3 processor clocked at 1.6GHz paired with 1GB RAM to ensure optimum performance. A 10.1-inch Super IPS display was used to allow resolution as high as 1920 x 1200 pixels while having great power-saving features. For £599.99, owners will be getting a good entertainment hub that offers superb picture and high quality audio courtesy of SonicMaster.

The detachable keyboard dock is already included in the package for the same price. With it, Infinity Pad can easily be converted to an Android-based notebook with so much power, superb performance and touchscreen functionalities. Asus is apparently on course to taking a bigger chunk of the tablet market; it has a very strong lineup of devices for this year. And with its financial standing on its prime, we can probably expect more devices with better specs and quality.
