For latest on Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon release dates for Samsung Galaxy SIII, check our update here.
In preparation for the release of the Samsung Galaxy S III in the U.S. Market, Samsung is holding a pre-launch event at Skylight Studios in New York’s Tribeca on June 20th . The event, named The Next Big Thing, is available to a few selected contest winners and invite-only bloggers and jouralists. Samsung had previous held a contest on Facebook to select a few lucky Samsung enthusiasts to join the press event and preview the device. It is expected that a few members of the press will be able to take home a review model to kick the tires around and perhaps share with the rest of us a preview from their perspective.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Release Dates
The Samsung Galaxy S3 had been one of the most highly anticipated smartphone releases this year, along with the HTC One X. Unlike the iPhone, Samsung is releasing the phone to all the major U.S. carriers such as Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile.
Verizon Wireless (Available Pre-order, shipping July 10th)
The phone was finally out for pre-order at Verizon Wireless in early June with a shipping date of July 10th, and perhaps available in stores a couple days thereafter.
Price (16GB): $199.99 with 2 year contract, $599.99 full retail
Price (32GB): $249.99 with 2 year contract, $649.99 full retail
AT&T (Available Pre-order)
Like Verizon, AT&T had also been holding back on its official release date for the phone, but as of today, the S3 is available for Pre-Order on Amazon.com when bundled with an AT&T plan. The official date for the phone to be available in stores is still unknown. There’s been reports on the web floating around a $149.99 price tag for this phone with partnership with Amazon and Target. As you can see below, what we found was a backordered page on Amazon that lists the phone for $189.99. But either price point would be lower than the Verizon version.

Sprint (Available Pre-order, releasing June 21st)
Sprint has officially announced to release the phone a day after “The Next Big Thing” on June 21st. As of time of writing, the 16GB phone is available for pre-order, but the 32GB is out of stock.
**Update (06/20): apparently, Sprint is overwhelmed by the demand for this phone, the 32GB version of the phone will be shipped next week and the 16GB should be on schedule to be shipped this week.
Price (16GB): $199.99 with 2 year contract, $549.99 full retail
Price (32GB): $249.99 with 2 year contract, $599.99 full retail
T-Mobile (Available June 21st)
The T-Mobile website simply has a stale page showing the release date of June 21st without much details such as pricing or pre-order information. And unlike the other three aforementioned carriers, T-Mobile is not currently promoting the Samsung Galaxy S3 on their front page.
