PowerAMP for Android Now With New Updated Features

The Poweramp Music Player for Android has been updated by Max MP with new features. Among these is an action bar support for devices running Android Honeycomb or Android Ice Cream Sandwich as well as an enhanced music folder. This action bar meshes well with the aesthetics of Android Ice Cream Sandwich with its simple, minimalist, and contemporary feel. Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS users are provided with several action bar options, as well.

Max MP has also expanded the languages that the app supports, which now includes Spanish, traditional Chinese, Italian, and German. For tablet devices, new skins are available, as well as enhancements on notification controls. The design of the Settings menu has been refreshed, too, along with the layouts of the folders and library. Further, the scanning functions have been revamped, including the multiple storage scanning and background folders scanning. On top of that, new scanning options have been added.

Lastly, the Poweramp Music Player app now carries support for HTC One X handsets. Regrettably, though, this last feature doesn’t integrate with HTC’s Sound Enhancement at present. However, this is a minor issue that may be fixed in an upcoming upgrade. The Meizu MX phone is now likewise supported. For the Samsung Galaxy Note, a large widget already permits the app to fill the entire screen, whereas a fix has been incorporated that targets crashing caused by the app on Samsung processors.

For those who have not yet downloaded the app, it offers several enticing features. For one, it has the ability to play a wide range of file types, including MP3, MP4, M4A, WAV, FLAC, TTA, MPC, AIFF, and APE. All these formats may be manipulated with a 10 band graphical equalizer. It has lyrics support, dynamic queuing, displays cover art animation, and reads playlists in wpl, m3u, pls, m3u8, and m3u.

The app is available at Google Play as a trial version, which may be enjoyed for zero cost for fifteen days. A Premium version, however, priced at $4.99 allows for access during a longer period of time.
