Max Payne Mobile Now Featured on Google Play Store

Max Payne for Android has finally arrived on Google Play. The game developed by Rockstar Games had been initially available on iOS, as it seems customary for app developers, despite the fact that Android has a much wider reach.

This particular game features a story of an undercover cop who had been wrongly accused and framed of murder. The main character is Max Payne who has to contend with both the police and the mob as well as discover the incidents that led to the death of his family.

Max Payne offers excellent HD quality graphics and has been optimized for an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, allowing users to experience the gameplay in amazing detail. Users who want to take their enjoyment to the next level will be also happy to note that Max Payne is compatible with GameStop Wireless Game Controller and several USB gamepads.

To tailor the experience to each user’s preference, Rockstar Games allows for customization of graphics settings and other controls. Integration with the Rockstar Games Social Club adds a social dimension to the game, allowing users to track their achievements and unlock cheats that will help them in their gameplay.

Here is, however, a caveat: the device is only available for a selected number of Android devices, including the HTC Droid Incredible 2, Sony Xperia S, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Razr Maxx, Acer Iconia, Asus Eee Pad Transformer, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Sony Tablet S, and Toshiba Thrive, among others. A full list of compatible devices may be found at the Google Play store.

The game furthermore supports several languages including English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Russian, and German.

The game itself had been available as early as 2001 for gaming consoles, and had been experiencing success on iOS devices. However, this doesn’t automatically mean that the game will find favor from Android users.

At present, however, Max Payne seems to be on the same track to popularity on Google Play. It has already received a 4.0 rating out of 5, and between 10,000-50,000 installs in just a few days. Max Payne for Android costs $2.99 and takes up 1.33 GB.
