Hulu Plus Android App Updated With Support For Additional Devices

Are you a regular user of the Hulu Plus app on your Android device and depend on the app heavily to stay updated to the latest happenings in the world of “How I Met Your Mother” or “The Family Guy”? But have you also been bothered by the less than perfect operation of the app on your 7 inch Android tablet or a smartphone which you recently updated to Android OS v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich?
Worry not, the Hulu Plus Android App has now been updated and with the update, the developers have resolved some of the issues faced by users running the app on 7 inch tablets and devices running Ice Cream Sandwich. The update also optimizes the app for devices with high resolution screens.

  1. Hulu Plus seems to be reducing it’s service to cell network viewers. I have the unlimited data plan through Verizon, much to Verizon’s dismay, and typically watch my TV content on my Rezound over 3g. Living in the middle of nowhere, my data doesn’t get throttled, and my phone’s data speed is actually faster than the cruddy local wireless internet provider’s.

So, why did the high resolution option disappear from the phone when I’m connected to 3g, and reappear when I’m connected through the slower wifi at home? I paid Hulu for quality content at high resolutions; now I feel like I’m getting ripped off.

If you’ve noticed something like this happening to you, make sure to let it be known that you’re not pleased.
