Do you have an HTC One X? If you have problems getting a good Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth connection, you are not the only one who is having this problem. As a matter of fact, HTC is to blame for the poor connection and the problems associated with it. Do not despair though; this is a hardware problem that you can fix if you have a little experience with hardware by taking it apart. The best advice I can give you though is to contact HTC and have them replace or repair your device because there is always some risk of tampering with phone components.
Recently, a user at xda-developers logged his detailed personal troubles with the One X and shared with other users tutorials and pictures that helped them fix this wireless connectivity problem. As of now, there are over 10 different DIY tutorials for fixing this issue and I am sure HTC too is monitoring this issue. The thread itself has over 42 pages although it is just one week old. The only logical explanation is that One X users are searching and posting all over the internet to find solutions to this problem. Here are the core points listed in the thread for quick diagnosis:

“For those who have Wi-Fi problems, specifically poor connections or lack of connectivity, the problem may be this hardware fault. The simplest test to use to ascertain this problem is the squeeze test. Squeeze thee side back of the One X between the volume buttons and the camera lens. If the signal of Wi-Fi improves, then the problem is loose antenna connection.”
The thread explains that the problem is that the connection points inside the phone are not properly attached. This phone is not the first ever to have such a problem, whether 3G/4G, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth related. However, unlike similar problems with other phones, this is a problem that HTC can fix. There has not been an official word from HTC but if you cannot have them fix it, you can fix it by following the instructions on the thread here or by taking it to a certified handset repair technician.
