HTC One S to Arrive at Cincinnati Bell on June 25th

The HTC One S will soon be offered by the regional wireless carrier Cincinnati Bell. This device, which will be part of the company’s 4G Android smartphone line, will be available starting June 25th.

The device features a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED touch screen with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. It runs on a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with a frequency of 1.5 GHz. Its OS, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is integrated with HTC Sense GUI. The latter is equipped with HTC Imagesense, a special feature that converts the phone camera into an actual digital camera that gives high-quality photos and offers video pic, instant capture, and continuous shooting, among others.

The handset also comes with a 16 GB storage capacity alongside a free 25 GB of storage on DropBox for 2 years. An SD slot, however, is missing, which means that the memory on this handset may be quite limited.Its RAM has a size of 1 GB while its battery is a 1650 mAh unit. On a single charge, users can enjoy as much as 10.5 hours of talk time and up to 13.2 days in standby.

Users can connect to Cincinnati Bell’s 4G wireless network as well as to Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, and Wi-Fi hotspot. Meanwhile, its cameras comprise of an 8 MP shooter located at its rear with various features, including optical zoom, digital zoom, f/2.0 aperture, smart LED flash, autofocus, and face detection. A secondary VGA camera for video calling is as well found on the camera’s front.

Sounds are made enjoyable via the integration of Beats Audio, which allows for a richer experience of music or video playback. Other features include noise cancellation, TV out, a document viewer, predictive text input, and threaded message view. HTC also incorporates Google’s services such as voice-enabled search, Google Maps, Google Talk, Calendar, and Youtube.

The HTC One S’s design features an aluminum unibody casing that weighs 4.3 ounces and has dimensions of 130.9 x 65 x 7.8 mm. All in all, its features appear pretty decent, especially for those who favor good phone photography, which is this phone’s strength. Cincinnati Bell is selling the HTC One S for the price of $199 with a $100 mail-in rebate and a 2-year contract.
