The Samsung Galaxy S III is the company’s newest and one of the best Android smart phones ever. With its quad core processor for the international version (dual core for the United States version), and the powerful operating system it is running, it is just a pleasant experience to use it. The smart phones comes with a lot of cool apps pre installed, such as the S Voice (Samsung’s answer to Apple’s void based virtual assistant, Siri), S Note, S Memo, and much more. The ROM has been built to be lightweight and super fast, and it definitely is. But some people just cannot work out with this. They need more, they need to customize their experience, and they need to extract as much performance as possible from their smart phone. For such people, there are custom ROMs.
One such popular custom ROM for most of the popular smart phones is the Cyanogen Mod. The Cyanogen Mod team really does a very great work by compiling a custom ROM for each smart phone and putting in more customization and performance tweaking options. They have not let the very new Samsung Galaxy S III alone as well. The smart phone already has a Cyanogen Mod custom ROM for it.
Yes, if you are a Cyanogen Mod fan (I know, using the ROM on my Galaxy Note), then you will be thrilled to know that the ROM is already available for download. But do take care, it is only for rooted smart phones. Which brings us to say that this can be pretty dangerous. If you do not want to lose the warranty of your smart phone or do not want to mess with its hardware and increase the chances of bricking your new Samsung Galaxy S III, then you better stay away from all this. But if you say you understand all the risks and you are ready to face it, then you can go here. Take care.
