ASUS Transformer Pad 300 Fixing Bugs Via OTA Update

Asus is fixing issues on the Transformer Pad 300 with a new update called v9.4.3.30. The bug fixer promises to repair the occasional inability of Wi-Fi to connect to the Internet after the tablet goes from suspend mode.

However, the highlight of the update is the enhancement it brings to the camera software, allowing users to capture more vibrant images with improvements on auto White Balance (AWB), auto focus (AF), as well as continued auto focus (CAF).

Along with the camera application enhancement, the update also helps to make the Google Chrome browser stable for the Asus Transformer Pad 300. Google has identified several issues in the Chrome browser for Android, including a Not Responding alert, the disappearance of the Chrome icon, reloading with outdated tabs, lags in scrolling, blurred text, and automatic zooming in.

Lastly, the OTA update fixes the issue regarding the need to retype the password when a user shifts from landscape to portrait orientation or vice versa.

The update arrives just after a month since the most recent update called v9.4.3.29. The enhancements and fixes are minor, however, as with any OTA update, they are always welcome. Updates like these allow users to get enhancements from the makers of the devices without having to buy a new device or bringing them to a service center for repair.

Users of the Asus Transformer Pad 300 will receive a notification that the update is available for download. However, those who want to instruct their tablet to search for the update manually may head over to Settings, then to About, then to System Firmware. Once the Check Update option is selected, the Asus Transformer Pad 300 will immediately check for the update.

The Asus Transformer Pad 300 boasts of a hybrid experience that allows users to switch from using the device as a tablet and enjoying it as a notebook. It features a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, a 10.1 inch display, an 8 MP rear camera, a 1.2 MP front camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, and 10 hours of battery life.
