There have been rumors about the Google tablet for a while now. All we knew till now is that Google is working on a new tablet with its very own mobile operating system, Android. The search engine giant is of course not manufacturing the device, but just working on the design. So who is the manufacturer? The rumors had it that Asus will be the lucky company. Well, these were just the rumors, till now that is.

Yes, we have the confirmed new from Android Authority that Asus is indeed working with Google on bringing out the Google tablet. An Asus representative, who remains unnamed, gave the information that Asus has reached the final stages of the production of Google tablet and will be releasing it in the end of June. And what do we have in the end of June? You guessed it right, Google I/O. The 7 inch tablet will be running the latest version of the mobile operating system, Android 4.0.4, also known as Ice Cream Sandwich.

If you want more, the Nexus 7 will be running on an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core processor. Yes, that is powerful. And if you are worried about the price, you can relax.
