On our first night in New Orleans for CTIA 2012 we spent most of the evening at ShowStoppers which is a media preview event to take a sneak peak at some of the products that will be featured on and off the show floor the rest of the week. We had a chance to meet up with our friends at SRS Labs.
Remember before the HTC/Beats marriage SRS labs was featured prominently on HTC devices and a handful of other Android devices.
Well now they’ve taken their patented sound technology and made it available to everyone via their new iWOW-U sound enhancement adapter that went on sale Monday on SRS Labs website and at amazon.com.
Needless to say when we got back to the hotel I immediately connected it to an iPhone, an HTC One X (with Beats Audio) and the Galaxy Note. All three sounded phenomenal. It has a very full sound all around and the bass is clear, not scratchy. The other thing that I noticed in just a loose listening comparison, was that the iWOW-U was much more full in the midrange than Beats Audio.
Of course with the Samsung Galaxy Note the sound was enhanced by about 10 times. The iPhone audio sounded incredible as well.
