The folks over at Instagram have really been busy making sure their app is top notch. We’ve seen a handful of updates since the initial launch, more than most developers, and all have done at least something to really make the overall performance better. Getting 1 million downloads in the first 24 hours, these dedicated developers have not stopped since launch.
The latest update brings support for tablets so users can take shots and check their feeds on their larger devices. There isn’t a dedicated UI for tablets at this point, but it’s still nice to be able to do these things on our tablets. The update also adds the ability to install to SD, so now users that are running low on space don’t have to worry about installing Instagram. The full list of updates is as follows, with a Play link at the bottom to grab the update.
- Open up support to Tablets and WiFi handsets
- Allow app installation on SD card
- Fix audio mute bug during capture
- Several small bug fixes and improvements
