Motorola Xoom 4G Upgrade Ending March 31st

If you were one of the early adopters of the first Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet, the Motorola Xoom, you may want to pay attention to this important information.

People who purchased the original 3G Motorola Xoom that needed to be upgraded to 4G/LTE, time is running out to have that upgrade performed. Motorola has announced that they will stop upgrading 3G Xoom tablets to 4G on March 31st.

The upgrade to 4G/LTE is free for Motorola Xoom owners. All you have to do is send your Xoom into Motorola and they will upgrade it for you. To get started on the upgrade just head over to this link at Verizon Wireless.

Before you send your tablet in you will want to back up all your personal information and then wipe it off your Xoom tablet by doing a factory data reset. When you get it back simply restore your data and you’ll be ready to go.

Folks who bought their Xoom at the end of 2011 should already have 4G/LTE pre-installed.
