HTC Finally Testing Ice Cream Sandwich On Thunderbolt

Verizon Wireless’ first 4G/LTE phone, the HTC Thunderbolt, may soon be getting Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich. According to a leaked email from HTC obtained by VZBuzz, the company is looking for 10 testers for #Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Although it seems like an eternity, the HTC Thunderbolt isn’t even a year old yet. If you haven’t opted for getting a replacement device at cost, than an Ice Cream Sandwich refresh would come as a welcome treat from HTC, Google and Verizon.

More after the break

According to the leaked email, HTC is looking for these beta/soak testers and not Verizon Wireless. This is actually common practice as Motorola is always looking for users of their devices to soak test, however 10 seems like a very small number.

We’re hoping this leak is indeed the real thing, if it is we could possibly see Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on the thunderbolt as soon as next month.
