Archos Introduces “Child Pad” An Android Tablet For Kids

We’ve seen a couple Android tablets for kids. So far the most notable tablet for kids has been the Vinci tablet. The Vinci tablet is an Android tablet with deep child friendly integration and a curriculum developed by the Vinci company.

Today, Archos has announced their entry into the kid friendly tablet market.  Archos’ new “Child Pad” is a 7″ kid friendly Android tablet, running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Archos has skinned the tablet with a more child friendly user interface with bright colors and folders that go directly to kids games, puzzles, and entertainment.

Archos has designed the “Child Pad” to be CIPA and COPPA regulations which ensures a safe tablet environment for kids.

Archos has also added direct access to the “Kids app store” powered by Appslib. The “Kids App Store” features over 10,000 apps and games geared towards children and divided into 14 friendly categories. Some of the categories include; games, entertainment, communication, multimedia, books, comics, and sports.
