Verizon Wireless is going to start pushing out an update to the Motorola Xyboard and the Motorola Xyboard 8.2.

The update coming to the pair of Motorola’s new Android Honeycomb tablets promises enhancements to browser performance, improved touch response and adds global roaming, as promised when the tablet rolled out a few months ago.

Verizon Wireless advises that customers who have xyboards allow their tablets to access the Verizon Wireless network for 15 minutes to insure that the entire update has been downloaded to their device. Once the update is on the Xyboard customers are encouraged to call Verizon Wireless and have a global data plan added to their device.

Customers will be able to use their Xyboard tablets in over 205 countries, 130 of which will allow customers to surf the web and use data in 130 3G enabled market.

We’re planning to take the update as soon as it’s available and use our global ready Xyboard in Barcelona Spain in 3 weeks for Mobile World Congress.
