Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 And Galaxy Mini 2 Now Official

Last week we saw the Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 sneak through the rumor mill ahead of Mobile World Congress. Now Samsung has confirmed not just the Galaxy Mini 2 but the  Galaxy Ace 2 as well.

Now if the Galaxy Ace and Galaxy Mini don’t sound familiar to our readers at home in the United States, that’s because neither of the phones actually saw a US release. However, they were both popular, mid to low range Android handsets in Europe, Asia and other international markets.

Both of the follow ups are also in the medium to low range category. They’re perfect phones for those coming from a “dumb” phone or a “feature” phone, and don’t want the latest top of the line bells and whistles money can buy.

The Galaxy Ace 2 features an 800mhz processor, 3.8″ WVGA screen and 768mb of RAM. It has dual cameras, with a 5 mp shooter on the back and a vga camera on the front. It will also feature Samsung’s ChatOn application.

The Galaxy Mini 2 has an 800mhz processor, 3.2 inch HVGA display, 512 mb of RAM and a 3mp rear shooter. The Galaxy Mini is expected to debut in France in March. The Galaxy Ace 2 will be available in the UK in April.
