Online Retailer Says 32gb Version Of The GSM Samsung Galaxy Nexus Has Been Cancelled

Fresh on the heels of the news that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is coming to Verizon Wireless in white and silver 16gb models, it looks like the 32gb model of the GSM Galaxy Nexus may be getting phased out.

When replying to a customer question via their online forums, an Expansys employee by the name of Corey said this:

We’ve just been notified this morning that Samsung have dropped the Galaxy Nexus 32GB from production. At this time it looks like they will not be releasing it. Not good news at all.

Our good friend Chris Chavez at Phandroid, has postulated that perhaps Samsung is diverting the 32gb GSM models for other carriers like AT&T or T-Mobile for instance, but we seem to think that may be a little far fetched.  For whatever reason 16gb seems to be the sweet spot for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

With no expandable storage, would you get a Galaxy Nexus with just 16gb of memory? Ours has 28gb left.
