Happy Sunday. Are you reading thedroidguy today or are you reading the Sunday classifieds? It’s really unfortunate that actual newspapers have seen a huge decline since the internet came along. They’ve seen an even more drastic decline in readership since the smartphone and the mobile app.
More and more companies are moving toward mobile platforms and other advertising sources to advertise the latest jobs. Monster.com has been helping people find jobs since 1999. In 2006 monster.com was one of the top 20 websites in the world out of over 100 million.
Now Monster is offered on the Android platform in Monster Job Search. The Monster Job search has all the features you’d expect from an app designed to help you look for jobs. You can sign into your Monster.com account and apply for jobs on the go using your same stored information that you would on the website version of the site.
All of your resumes, cover letters and applications from your monster.com account are available at your disposal on the Android version.
When searching for jobs you can search by city, state or zipcode. You can also use your phones GPS to search for jobs in the area. The app also includes a bar code scanner reader so when you see an actual advertisement for a job or you’re at a job fair and see a companies QR code you can scan the QR code and see all the openings from that company.
You can email prospective employers through the Monster Jobs app and they can email you back right through the app. When you’re in between jobs or looking for your next big challenge, timing can be everything and with Monster Jobs on your Android phone you’ll never miss your next Monster opportunity.
