If MetroPCS Drops Their Unlimited Plan Does Anybody Notice?

Samsung Craft was MetroPCS' first 4G/LTE phone now discontinued along with their unlimited data plan

Despite the fact that MetroPCS is a prepaid carrier, they were the first in the United States to introduce 4G LTE. They even beat Verizon to the punch, although Verizon now has the largest 4G/LTE network in the country.

When MetroPCS introduced their 4G/LTE network they did it with the Samsung Craft a 4G/LTE feature phone running BREW. At that time they also introduced an unlimited plan that featured talk, text and unlimited data.

Apparently in December MetroPCS quietly ended that plan and stopped selling the Samsung Craft. They now have 4G/LTE available on a handful of Android devices.

Metro’s new 4G/LTE plan is $50 per month and includes unlimited talk, text and 1gb of multimedia streaming data. Web surfing is available on an unlimited basis going through their MetroWeb conduit.
