Mobile World Congress is less than six weeks away in Barcelona Spain. MWC is where the big guns come out for OEM’s for the rest of the year. It was at last years Mobile World Congress and the Samsung Unpacked event where we learned about the new models of the Samsung Galaxy tab and the Samsung Galaxy S II.
With the Samsung Galaxy Note bubbling at the border and headed to AT&T, and the Galaxy Nexus having a great showing at Verizon and headed to Sprint, we have our eyes set out for the Samsung Galaxy S III. But just like you our wonderful readers, we too have noticed that HTC has been quiet as of late.
More after the break
We were thinking perhaps HTC has gone into the corner and sulked after getting punished by the ITC. Or rather they are working on the software fix that is going to enable them to keep making phones after April…
But now we are hearing that at an HTC MWC event on February 26th we could see not one, but two great HTC devices. Now last year we got a few more devices but based on spec I would rather take just two awesome handsets in the HTC Ville and the HTC Edge than the HTC ChaCha and Salsa again. I mean come on deep Facebook integration and Mark Zuckerberg didn’t even fly out for the party. Remember Zuck Peter Chou is a pretty cool guy even Dr. Dre and Anthony Iovine came out to their NY party….
Well according to many sources, including our good friends at Android Community, the HTC Ville and the HTC Edge are what we will see at HTC’s pre MWC press event. As a refresher the Edge is supposed to support some quad-core goodness with it’s 4.7 inch 720p AMOLED screen. The Ville is rumored to be as AC put it “a workhorse” like the Sensation was overseas.
