One of the most used apps in the Android Market, ESPN ScoreCenter, has received an update today that really brings some new features to the table. In previous versions of ScoreCenter, users had to check the application every time they wanted to view scores and news. Now with the recent update, you can have the app send you notifications on breaking news and scores.In the MyTeams section, you can choose what teams you want to get notifications for, and whether you want them at the end of each quarter or the final score of the game. You can also add breaking news to the notifications, and choose them for multiple teams and scores. ESPN has had this feature on the apps supporting other OS’s, and they have finally caught their Android app up to the rest of the pack.
