CES 2012 LIVE: Cobra Electronics – Joyride

Today at Unveiled Cobra Electronics was showing off their latest and greatest Android product, Joyride. Joyride functions as a traditional mini-USB car charger for Android devices, but with Android’s Open Accessory Platform it goes a step further. The Joyride charger activates the application that comes paired with the accessory, and in doing so opens up a safe way to navigate your phone while driving.

The apps that you choose as your most-used apps while driving will be easily accessible with the click of a button on the Joyride charger, and with different rates of clicking you can cycle through your apps and get to what you need while keeping your eyes on the road. Whether it’s Pandora or Google Maps, Joyride can help you get to them quickly and easily with just the touch of a button. Joyride will be available for $39.99 in the US, and anyone looking to use their phones safely while driving should look into picking one up. Check out the video above for a hands-on interview with Cobra and their newest Android product, Joyride.
