Unsupported CyanogenMod 7.2 Rom Hits The Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Sprint’s version of the Samsung Galaxy S II, dubbed the Samsung Epic 4G Touch hasn’t been the easiest version of the Galaxy S II to root and then find good custom roms. That’s now changed as Cyanogenmod 7.2 has arrived for Sprint’s Galaxy S II variant.

Developer bubby323 has ported CM7.2 to the Epic 4G Touch. It’s not finished yet in fact there are a few bugs worth mentioning like it has the 911 problem found on the Vibrant. Another big issue is that the port doesn’t currently support Sprint’s WiMax 4G.

As with most ROM’s we’re sure that bubby323 and others are working hard to fix all the bugs and we’ll probably have a fully working port eventually. For now it’s a start though for all those CM lovers with the Epic 4G Touch.

Also, it’s important to note that the Cyanogenmod team does not support this port and this device. It’s not likely there will be an official CM9 port to the Epic 4G Touch.
