If you just got done reading our story on the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S III and it’s 12 megapixel camera, well hold onto your horses because Sony Ericsson is outdoing that camera with a 13 megapixel camera onboard a new Android phone. The best part? It’s headed to AT&T.
The Sony Ericsson LT28at is headed to AT&T’s new 4G/LTE network where it will join the ranks of the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket, HTC Vivid, and LG Nitro HD. Sony Ericsson is planning some big news for CES 2012 and it looks like this device is part of that.
More after the break
Sony recently bought back the half of Sony Ericsson that belonged to Ericsson. Also, last year at MWC, Sony Ericsson CEO Bert Nordberg has said how important the U.S. market is to their long term plans, and until now they haven’t had a super Android handset to compete with the likes of Samsung and HTC.
The LT28a is said to include:
4.55 inch 720 display
13 mega pixel camera with flash on the rear
Front facing camera
1.5ghz dual core processor
4G LTE connectivity
There is no word on what version of Android this device will be running but with the rest of the specs on board Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich would be a natural fit. Sony needs a huge flagship device to come to the United States as quickly as possible.
